Why I worked with an intuitive life coach

smiling woman, bright eyes, t-shirt says Life is Better

Working with an intuitive life coach moved me from successful, single and unsure to successful, single, and happy!

Living my embodied, intuitive life changed everything!

Based on cultural expectations, I was a successful, single woman who should have been happy.

I had a career, my own home, a gym membership and watched what I ate, spent time with family and friends, vacations in other countries, travelled for work, and continued to improve myself through courses.

Yet, I was unhappy and unsure.

  • I struggled to get up in the morning

  • All I thought about was work, my next meal and workout

  • I wondered if this was normal, was there something wrong with me?

  • I became very good at putting on a smiling face, regardless of how I felt inside

Everything shifted when I sought help from an intuitive life coach

With her help, I…

  • examined my beliefs

  • identified and questioned the roles I filled for myself and others

  • learned to hear the subtle messages from my essential self

As a single woman, eldest daughter, aunt, friend, employee - there were a lot of roles to unpack. I cried A LOT

So what changed?

As the roles and beliefs unraveled

  • Spent more time outdoors

  • Bought a used camera

  • Started writing for fun again

  • Joined an urban sketching group

But even more importantly, I stopped focusing on the ‘shoulds’ over what I really wanted. I learned to sit quietly to hear my essential self and intuition. My body started to become a messenger as I noticed different sensations when I made decisions.

My curiousity grew - Leading to the biggest change

If I could live anywhere, where would I move?

Over weeks, I explored provinces, areas, and towns. One morning, during a yoga retreat, I was sitting by the water and knew I was meant to live on that specific body of water. Which lead to selling my home, buying another, and six years later I’m still in awe that I live here.

While this all took place six years ago, I continue to rely on Quiet time and my Body Compass to hear and connect with my Self. It takes time to unravel all the conditioning, but the journey is worth it. I’m no longer the successful, single and unsure woman I was back then. Now, I know I have the answers if I make time to listen.

If you only take one things from this note, let it be if you’re single, done all the things, and still unsured - I’m proof life can change if you want it to.
